Join the engaging Tinkergarten program, where young kids and their grown-ups embark on a joyful journey of discovery! Classes last 60 minutes and include songs, movement, short stories, exploration, and purposeful play—all in the great outdoors. Here, there are no walls; nature is our classroom, and creatures are our teachers. Each lesson connects children to the natural world using mud, sticks, and endless curiosity!
Designed for child-led exploration, Tinkergarten empowers kids to lead the way while helping caregivers support their growth. Every session offers irresistible invitations to play, igniting curiosity and fostering experiential learning. Our curriculum focuses on building essential skills like attention, presence, and wonder, ensuring each child learns in a way that’s meaningful to them. 1-2-3—let’s play the Tinkergarten way!
Outdoor playful learning program following the Tinkergarten curriculum for young kids and their grown-up. Classes meet for 60-minutes, and families are guided through songs, movement, a short story, exploration and purposeful play.
Outdoors is the classroom: We have no walls. Creatures are our teachers. Mud and sticks are out tools. Every lesson connects us to nature – the Tinkergarten way!
Open-ended, child led: Kids learn best when they lead the way. We also help grown-ups support their child. Tinkergarten classes are designed for children and their care-giver to attend together.
Irresistible invitations to play: Each lesson is engineered to spark curiosity and engage kids in experiential playful learning scenarios that they simply can’t refuse.
Our Focus curriculum is designed to help kids hone the symphony of skills we use to direct, shift, and sustain our attention. Throughout the series, we’ll leverage the captivating natural world to teach kids several building blocks of focus: how to feel present in the moment; how to zoom in and zoom out; how to wonder; and how to follow our interests. 1-2-3- Let’s play the Tinkergarten way!
Classes will meet on Sundays from 3:45pm-4:45pm at the corral area at Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park (unless otherwise specified by the instructor).
Classes are for ages 2 - 10 years old (and their caregiver age 18+).
Registration fee includes all dates. (November 3rd, November 10th, November 17th, and November 24th).

Sunday Season Cost: $88 per explorer (Sibling discount: $60 per registered sibling)
