Join us for exciting fishing programs that explore both Florida’s freshwater and saltwater systems! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced angler, our guided sessions provide everything you need to reel in the big one. Experience the thrill of fishing in stunning locations, from tranquil lakes to vibrant coastal waters. Our knowledgeable instructors will teach essential techniques, safety tips, and local ecology, ensuring a fun and educational outing for all ages. This FREE fun-filled event is designed to introduce families to the vast outdoors, the sport of fishing and the importance of being stewards of Florida’s freshwater ecosystems. Hands on educational activities will include fishing in the Withlacoochee River (water level permitting) and fishing basics learning stations. Additionally, there will be a free rod/reel for the first 100 children ages 3 - 15 years old.
Registration is required.
Please only register participants ages 3-15 years old. Parents/guardians do not need to register, but are required to stay with their child(ren).
Only those who register and complete all of the learning stations will receive a rod/reel.
Educational stations will take place from 9:00am-12:00pm with the last time to start your stations at 11:30pm.
Fishing will be available until 1:00pm.

Bush Vamos A Pescar Education Fund is a grant program to fund state and local initiatives that focus on engaging Hispanic families in fishing, boating and conservation activities.
